Opals traditionally belong to classic gemstones, but in addition to the well-known noble opal shining in rainbow colors or the fire opal resplendent in red shades, there are also rare specialties. Hyalite is the greatest specialty of opals. Nothing special in natural light, usually completely colorless, sometimes pale green, but as soon as we illuminate it with short-wave UV light, a miracle happens, because in this case it glows in an emerald green neon color. This 0.84 Ct, oval-cut specimen comes from Mexico, the best-known deposit of hyalite.
